Typical Layout
Typical layout of The Heron and The Moorhen. The Swan and The Kingfisher have two double bedrooms on the kitchen/dining room level.
We had a warm welcome from Lisa and team with very helpfully information on places to visit and walks to do. Excellent location within walking distance of quay and local attractions also bars and restaurants which unfortunately due to COVID were only serving outdoors . The complex was directly on the river bank with a pretty well maintained garden, all the houses had their own patios with furniture and were directly accessed via patio doors from a pleasant comfortable well furnished lounge. We were lucky enough to have good weather to be able to sit out after our walk each day with a glass of wine. The kitchen was a good size with a large fridge and freezer and was spotlessly clean. The house also had a downstairs cloak room and upstairs shower room next to the master bedroom which had a balcony with a table and chairs. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of storage space in the bedroom . The carport was an added bonus which enabled us to load and unload undercover and with privacy . We used the local buses and also the ferry from The Captains Club across the river and the Mudeford Ferry across the harbour entrance. We will definitely visit again and recommend it to anyone who enjoys long ,not too taxing walks. Thank you Lisa H.H…
