Perfectly positioned on the banks of the River Stour in the beautiful town of Christchurch, Riverside Park holiday homes are an ideal base for exploring all that Dorset has to offer, as well as the nearby New Forest and Hampshire. Whether you simply want to take it easy or you plan to enjoy lots of walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing, golfing or sailing - it’s all here.
So much to see and do – right on the doorstep
Christchurch itself has much to discover. Within easy reach is the 11th Century Christchurch Priory, the UK’s longest Parish church, the town’s High Street with shops for browsing and a tempting choice of restaurants, coffee shops and bars. At Christchurch Quay there is something for all the family - from the open parkland, splashpark and children’s play area of The Quomps to Town Quay’s art gallery, Victorian bandstand and boats for hire.
Discover Dorset’s delightful beaches and countryside
With its wealth of beaches and miles of unspoilt countryside, Dorset is a joy to explore for families and couples alike, whether seeking exciting activities or peace and tranquillity.
Just six miles to the west of Riverside Park, Bournemouth is sure to satisfy anyone’s needs for retail therapy or beach life, while to the east lie the delights of Highcliffe Castle - built in the Romantic and Picturesque architecture style and offering wonderful sea views to the Isle of Wight.
The nearby Mudeford Sandbank forms a natural barrier between the harbour and the open sea. It is a unique spit which adjoins the headland of Hengistbury Head, one of East Dorset’s many nature conservation areas, and can only be reached only by foot, bicycle, Hengistbury Head land train or ferry from Mudeford Quay, Tuckton and Christchurch Quay. The journey is worthwhile as it leads to many miles of safe, sandy Blue Flag beaches and stunning views from Hengistbury Head of Christchurch and the Isle of Wight
A trip to Poole opens up miles of walks and cycle ways and the chance to learn new watersports and explore Poole’s beautiful natural harbour, the largest in Europe. Many enjoy catching a glimpse of the millionaires’ homes at famous Sandbanks before heading further west to visit the world heritage Jurassic Coast and, perhaps, find their own prehistoric fossil to keep as a memento of their holiday.
Explore nature at the nearby New Forest
Holidaying at Riverside Park means visitors are close to the New Forest with the chance to meet new four-legged friends among the ancient woodland where ponies, donkeys, cattle and deer roam free. Adorned with old inns, market towns and miles of pathways, the New Forest is perfect for leisurely lunches and shady strolls or forest trekking and adventurous biking.
