It is some time since I have written a Blog, this year, one of my new year's resolutions is to try and do one every couple of months and keep you updated on things that are happening here at Riverside Park and in Christchurch.
One of our big changes this year is our check in and out days. This will now happen on a Friday. You will now be able to take full advantage of spending the weekend here in Christchurch, and then having a full weekend at home before returning to work on Monday. As Covid restrictions begin to ease our check in times will be from 1500 hours on Friday and our check out times will be 0930 hours the following Friday. I will continue to fog each of the houses once vacated and would like customers to carry on stripping the bedding used and placing it along with the towels in a bag provided. This helps us so much on our change over days and is hugely appreciated. I will send out emails prior to arrival with all the information to help you make the most of your stay with us.
Work started here at the end of November. We are currently in the middle of replacing the cloakrooms in each of the houses. It's work in progress but coming along very nicely. In the larger houses, the Swan and the two Kingfishers I am replacing all the doors for oak doors and painting all the woodwork white, with each room having a fresh coat of paint. There will be new carpets throughout. The lighting in the hallways will also be changed making the houses much brighter. Just as I turn a corner, thinking that will be all for this year, something else becomes evident and needs addressing. But with time rapidly running out I will have to draw a line and start again next winter.

I have just organised a crane to come in and lift into the water all the boats. They are currently stored on the gravel area for the owners to carry out their winter maintenance. This is always a good date to get into the diary as it means that Winter is gradually on its way out and we can look forward to the Spring and some lovely warm weather. Have you noticed that the evenings are becoming increasingly lighter?
As always, if you want to make a reservation, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me. I can take a deposit and then the balance is due 30 days before arrival or you can book online, the full amount will be taken at the time of booking. If you have any queries or would like any further information, please call, or email me. Telephone 01202 471090, email info@riversidepark.co.uk
