It is now the 9th May and the weather these past couple of days hasn’t been the warmest, however, from a very reliable source of mine, this is about to change. This coming weekend it is going to get warmer, YAY. Just in time for the Christchurch Food Festival which takes place this coming Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May 2019.

During the market weekend, the High Street is transformed with stalls brimming with local delicacies.  And down on the picturesque riverside setting of Christchurch Quay, the experience continues with free-to-view cookery demonstrations, Beer Festival, fabulous cocktails, Kids Kitchen, excellent entertainment and Dorset Food & Drink trademark marquees, as well as dozens of stalls selling delicious food to eat there or take home and create exciting recipes. Celebrity Chefs Lesley Waters and Dean Edwards will be giving cookery demonstrations, together with local chefs, Alex Aitken from Christchurch Harbour Hotel Group, Luke Matthews from Chewton Glen, Andrew Gault from the Captains Club to name but a few. A superb day out for all the family to enjoy.

You may have seen from my Instagram posts that our single and twin bedrooms are finally finished. We have new single beds throughout, together with fitted furniture, bed linen, curtains, shutters, cushions and runners. I am so pleased with the overall look and from recent customers comments the comfy beds are not bad either. We also had some major balcony work done to one of the houses and laid a resin compound which looks fabulous, this has now prompted me to get the remaining houses done this next winter. There is always something that needs attention.

We have the May Bank Holiday fast approaching, I currently have two vacancies available, The Moorhen sleeping up to 4 people and The Kingfisher sleeping up to six people.
