It has been a while since my last blog just before Christmas. Everything was just a little uncertain, until we got our date to reopen which was the 12th April 2021. Since then, it has been hectic.

During the period when we were closed we managed to get some winter jobs done and dusted. We had scaffolding up from the beginning of January until the week before reopening. This was to renew the balconies on each house with a resin product and to prevent any leaks from occurring. It took a lot longer than anticipated due to the weather conditions, but we did eventually get there, and I am very happy with the results. The next job we did was to repaint the car ports, both walls and ceilings freshening them up with white paint and the flooring in a grey rubberised paint making it much easier to keep clean. Our next job was to high pressure steam clean all the exterior walls, and then treat the hanging tiles with a product to prevent any future lichen and algae from growing. Our final job was to have all the ovens, hobs and extractor fans cleaned together with all carpets being thoroughly cleaned. Non-stop, I am now looking at our jobs for next winter and the list continues to grow.

The only vacancies I currently have are for weeks commencing Saturday 3rd July, in the Kingfisher and week commencing Saturday 28th August, in the Heron. This is also the week of the Bournemouth Air Show which starts on Thursday 2nd September finishing on Sunday 5th September. Our next vacancies after this week are for week commencing Saturday 25th September onwards. It is always worth giving me a call if there is a week you are interested in, I could always add your name and number to my cancellation list.

We are continuing with our thorough cleans between each let, fogging each house before the cleaners go in clean and sanitise. The check-in/out times remain the same, checking in between 4pm and 6pm and checking out the following week at 9am. This gives us plenty of time to get the house ready for our new arrivals

A couple of places have recently opened that are well worth a visit. Sculpture by the Lakes in Dorchester, a serene and beautiful experience and nice relaxing place to walk with a great café and shop, you can also take your own picnic and sit beside the lake and take in the lovely views, https://www.sculpturebythelakes.co.uk/

A fab bakery in Tuckton has recently opened called BigWigs, they do ‘amazing’ everything, especially, jam doughnut’s, croissants and sourdough bread and is walking distance from Riverside Park https://www.bigwigsbakery.co.uk/

Lymington Seafood Festival will be taking place on the 16th, 17th and 18th July, well worth a visit, https://www.lymingtonseafoodfestival.co.uk/

I will add a few more in my next blog, next month. If you have any queries at all, please do get in touch with me either by phone 01202 471090 or email info@riversidepark.co.uk
