Riverside Park offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The perfect place to sit back, relax and recharge your batteries listening to the soothing sound of the river.
However, for those seeking adventure, we highly recommend exploring the Jurassic Coast, a breathtaking 95-mile stretch of coastline in Dorset and Devon. This World Heritage Site is renowned for its remarkable rocks, fossils, and landforms, attracting millions of visitors from across the world each year.
Starting from Old Harry Rocks near Swanage to Orcombe Point near Exmouth in East Devon it can be reached by car in approximately one hour via the Sandbanks Chain Ferry.
Recently, Lisa embarked on a 12-mile walk from Langton Matravers, making delightful stops along the way. They indulged in some delicious cake at Durlston, took a refreshing swim in the sea pool at Dancing Ledge, and concluded the journey at the Square & Compass in Worth Matravers, where they enjoyed pasties and cider. If you're interested in a similar walk, don't hesitate to have a chat with Lisa when you check in.
Another activity we always recommend to guests who want an experience they won’t forget when staying with us is Burley Villa School of Riding. This fantastic school is located in the charming New Forest, just a 20-minute drive away from Riverside Park. At Burley Villa you can take part in a range of activities, including English & Western Riding Lessons, Forest Trail Rides, and unforgettable Children’s Horse Riding Experiences.
If you're planning to stay with us from 31st August to 3rd September, make sure not to miss the Bournemouth Air Festival. As Britain's largest free air and sea festival, it offers four thrilling days of aerobatics, including jaw-dropping performances by the RAF Red Arrows, Typhoon, and Battle of Britain planes. Whether you're interested in displays on land, sea, or in the air, the event promises an action-packed weekend with lots to see and enjoy.
